Vidalista 20 mg – what is it?
Vidalista 20 (tadalafil 20 mg) belongs to a class of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Medications in this class were originally developed for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension. However, patients began to experience a reinforced erection as a “side effect”. This is how PDE5i started being used to treat erectile dysfunction after getting approved by FDA in 2003 1.
How does Vidalista 20 work in the body? When a man has erectile dysfunction and becomes aroused, his penis does not fill with enough blood to harden and grow. In order to remove the symptoms of erectile dysfunction, tadalafil helps to increase the blood flow towards the penis, which can help a person achieve an erection and keep the penis erect. Note that for tadalafil to help a man get an erection, he must be sexually stimulated.
Vidalista 20: how long does it last?
Patients with erectile dysfunction can take Vidalista 20 as needed, but should not take a pill more than once every 24 hours. For the effects of the medication to appear, the man must first be sexually excited: tadalafil does not make the penis erect without sexual stimulation.
Take the pill at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. It is a common practice to start with the initial dose of tadalafil 10 mg (half a tablet of Vidalista 20). Later, the dosage can be adjusted by the doctor according to the individual's body reaction. However, the limit is 20 mg of tadalafil, which is considered the maximum individual dose.
You should not take more than one dose in a 24-hour period, and we do not recommend taking doses of 10 to 20mg every day. This is because part of the substance remains in the body for at least 36 hours.
The peak of tadalafil activity in the body occurs between 30 minutes and 6 hours following the intake of the pill. Knowing this will help you planning your sexual activity accordingly so that you are at the top of your form when it really matters. The graph in Figure 1 shows the concentration of tadalafil in blood plasma following the intake of Vidalista 20 (a dose of tadalafil 20 mg).
Vidalista 20 may be taken in a fasted state or after a meal. Food consumption does not inhibit or alter the effect of tadalafil. The same can be said about alcohol, but caution should be used when drinking liquor in combination with Vidalista 20. Excessive amounts of alcohol can potentiate the side effects of the drug and have a negative effect on patient’s erectile health in general.
When is Vidalista 20 eliminated from the body? The drug remains active for 36 hours. After this period both therapeutic and eventual side effects wear off. It is therefore recommended to a) take the medication as needed and b) to wait with the next dose for at least 24 hours, but preferably for full 36 hours to avoid unnecessary strain on the liver.
